Gallery 35 exists to celebrate the God-given talents of artists within the local church. It is our desire to promote our Core Value of "Gifts" by creating an environment where the use of artistic gifts is celebrated and encouraged.

The following guidelines have been established as criteria for submissions and will be used to help us determine which pieces will be accepted into Gallery 35.

We are seeking to display that which exemplifies any or all of the following:

  1. Works which celebrate creativity, life, and the human experience.
  2. That which is rooted in or inspired by a spiritual journey.
  3. Pieces which display an appreciation for God and/or creation.

The Creative Arts Ministry Staff is responsible for the approval of artwork which will be displayed in the Gallery. You may choose whether or not to submit your artwork anonymously. You will still be required to include your name on the Submission Form, which will be viewed only by the Creative Arts Pastor for the purposes of determining ownership after the piece has finished its time in the exhibit. However (at your discretion), your identity will not be included in the display placard which will accompany the piece in the Gallery.

Submissions to the Gallery should be brought to the church (Creative Arts Ministry Office) where they will be reviewed for approval and placed on display in the Gallery. Please allow 2-3 weeks to complete the review process. If your piece is approved, it will be placed on display immediately. Once on display, your piece will remain in the Gallery for an undetermined amount of time (generally until a change in the overall exhibit or until space is needed for a new submission).

We prefer that paintings, drawings, photography, etc. be framed when they are submitted for review. If your piece is not framed but is approved for exhibit in the Gallery, it will be displayed as it was submitted. The Creative Arts Ministry is not responsible for framing or finish work.

When a piece is submitted to the Gallery, it must also include a Submission Form. You may complete a hard copy of the form (and include it with your piece when it’s dropped off) or submit it online at arts.constancefree.org PRIOR to dropping it off at the church. Please note: if a piece of art is submitted without the Submission Form, it will not be reviewed for display in the Gallery.

We will NOT accept any artwork that contains reference or depiction of drugs, alcohol, tobacco, nudity (or other sexual content), profanity, the occult, any illegal activity, or are in direct contradiction to a Christ-centered worldview.

Gallery 35 is reserved primarily for attenders of Constance Free Church, though consideration may be given to artists in the community as space allows.
