Wen Cao (her husband Brent not shown here) and her daughter Hanna, and Blake. We worked on her home and she was so kind and generous to us, providing us food and love.

Miss Angie, her home flooded as well and we helped her carry out waterlogged possessions onto the street to be trashed.

Ernie, one of the Crisis Response missionaries along with Jason, Jenell, Mark, Nick, and Lonie.

Our Sheetrock sign we mage to remember our time here.

Lonie, Debbie, and Kellie.

The Girls with Mark, Crisis Response Missionary.

Our last workday today, we leave for home tomorrow early. Hard to summarize a week spent with Godly people. It was heartbreaking at times helping people by tearing out drywall, flooring, possessions. It was sad to see what was once a home sanctuary, now in ruin. Homeowners cried sometimes as they recall and see what has happened to their homes. Their sense of being overwhelmed by the sheer amount of work and financial hardship they’re facing. We saw that, but also the gratefulness, and hope that is provided by a caring response of both missionaries and volunteers. Please remember what was made so clear to us, help out in whatever way, to those who are hurting, remember to give grace to those who may seem distant, that server who is having trouble with your order, you never know what hardships they may be facing. Personal thanks to Heidi for her work organizing this blog, you’ve been a great bridge from us to Constance.

Also, stretch yourself, come with us on a short-term mission trip. The rewards far outweigh the sacrifices.
